A stylized session can make all the difference in taking photos from blah to WOW! Bringing an outfit change can provide an added layer of diversity to your session. I planned to meet Liv and Adam in Waterton in front of Big Scoop. When I saw them approaching, I’m pretty sure that my jaw hit the sidewalk. Bombshells. The both of them. I always love chasing the light around in Waterton, racing to get as many shots in before the sun descends behind the mountains.
Annika | High School Senior
Annika is so natural in front of the camera! She was a dream to photograph. Her mom and dad looked so proud of her. The clouds were perfect filters during this gorgeous girls session.
Whitney | Maternity Session
Beautiful, glowing, pregnant mama! I always love photographing Whitney. She is one of the most photogenic people that I have had the pleasure of photographing. Her hubby is currently away at school. She hired me to take these photos as a Father’s Day gift to him. So sweet. I’m excited for this little fam-jam to be reunited as a family of four!
Remmy | Goodbye for now
The sadder the goodbye, the happier the reunion. Emotion; my favorite thing to capture. Taking photos of Remmy’s final days was a somber experience. Pets are the best secret keepers. They are the most loyal. And sometimes they’re our closest companion.
Matthew | High School Senior
Matthew just so happens to be one of my younger brothers. He is headstrong and very passionate. He was very natural in front of the lens, which made my job super easy. We started shooting during the golden hour and ended up getting some super moody lighting. Matthew’s application to the Canadian Armed Forces had been approved and he is currently awaiting further interviews and testing.
Turkington Family | Waterton Family Session
There’s something so very special, sacred perhaps, about the love a mother has for her child. My favorite thing about photography is capturing emotion. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Hayley twice this year. The raw, pure emotion that she emotes makes words redundant. It is so evident in these images, how much she adores little miss Marley.
Shelby | High School Senior
Grad season. One of my all-time favorite times of the year! No explanation necessary, the glam I get to photograph says it all. Shelby stepped out of her beasty truck and my jaw dropped. What a beauty! We shot in the late-afternoon sun which made everything vivid and bright. The light caught all over her dress perfectly. “Hannah you are amazing!! Thank you for making Shelby feel special. She looked beautiful and you gave us memories to look back on always of her day! Shooting with you was so fun, you are so talented with your work, and professional!” Shannon
Ally + Jake | Waterton Maternity Session
My childhood best friend is joining the wonderful world of motherhood and I couldn’t be more excited for her and Jake. You can’t just pick one spot in Waterton to take photos. Last years forest fire, Kenow, left its mark on the national park – and it is an eerily beautiful one. Ally and Jake spotted a great area with burnt trees and new growth. The contrasts of color between the black-burnt trees and the fresh-grown greenery is stunning. Also, I think it’s interesting to note that we took a half hour detour from photo taking to follow a grizzly bear. (Not on foot, from the safety of the vehicle,…
Cameron | High School Senior
Cameron. Smart. Classy. Talented. Photographing a saxophone was first for me! Come to think of it, I think the car was also a first for me. I love it when my clients bring a physical piece of their life along for the shoot. This session ended with screeching tires kickin’ up dust in the golden hour light. (Don’t worry Mr. + Mrs. B, the tires weren’t actually screeching. He was very cautious with the vintage Chevelle.)
